SAB is over but Summer Smooches begins

Hey there everyone,

Take a look on the right-hand side of my blog.  You will see that the Sale-a-bration link has disappeared.  However, for your drooling pleasure there is a link to the Summer Smooches flyer.  You will see some tantalizing  items which you can purchase as a pre-order to the new catalogue.  The fabric brads and the decor element listed are ONLY available during this offer.  The other items will be tucked away as of April 30th and will reappear when the new catalogue goes live June 1st.

Hope you are enjoying your weekend.  Happy Stamping to All!

I created a wonderful purse today.  I haven't taken a picture of it yet -- you are left in suspense for now!

Easter Bunny Basket

It was Christy Fulk's basket that led me to Angie Juda's tutorial on the Easter basket our little group made. It is quite a versatile basket - good for many an occasion and you do not need any adhesive!
http://www.chicnscratchlive.com/2008/02/easter-basket-tutorial.html
Then my bunny is close to the ones Lisa Walsh made.
Here is my creative rendition:

This one was my prototype. In the recipe I name the colors we actually used.
Paper: old olive for the basket; old olive, pool party, and daffodil delight for the handles; everyday enchantment dsp for accents; crumb cake for bunny's body; pretty in pink, basic black, whisper white for parts
Ink: crumb cake, pretty in pink, silver fox smooch or gel pen
Accessories/tools: sponge daubers, crop-a-dile, ornament punch, x-large oval punch, 2 3/8" scallop circle punch, regular hole punch, itty bitty punches, flower brads, paper clips

Spotted Ornament Fish

Penny Strawberry and Laurie Zoellmer inspired me to create this card with my stamping friends:

The technique is called spotted background. Use your stampin' spots going from light to dark. After each color is finished, use a tissue to blend it in on the glossy paper.
Stamps: Delightful Decorations, Pennant Parade
Paper: tangerine tango, daffodil delight, glossy white
Ink: marina mist, daffodil delight, certainly celery, bashful blue, more mustard
Accessories/tools: ornament, 5-petal and itty bitty punch pack; 3/4" and 1" circle punch; regular one hole punch; tissue; perfect polka dots e.f.; big shot

Fifth Avenue Edgelit

It was a wonderful craft-sharing day in my Creative STAMPtuary Saturday!
Inspired by a card Melanie Baker made, here is the card the ladies made using the new Adorning Accents Edgelit:

Stamp Sets: Fifth Avenue Floral, On Your Birthday
Paper: natural white (card base), rich razzleberry, pretty in pink
Ink: whisper white craft, VersaMark, white e.p., basic black, rich razzleberry
Accessories: big shot, adorning accents edgelit, heat tool

Crop Cards

On my second crop adventure I had a great deal of fun trying out cards I wouldn't normally get a chance to do. Why you ask? Well, when you can't afford to buy EVERYTHING your heart desires, some projects are limited. Our hostesses brought along some fabulous punches and many other accessories which we were allowed to borrow. Here are the projects I was able to make!

It was a terrific weekend shared with very good friends. :)
